via IFTTT The Housing and Human Services today issued a proclamation that they would be instituting the Conscience rule which stipulates that doctors can decide to not perform procedures, administer care, or prescribe medicine based on their religious convictions. It’s promoted as if it is a win for religious liberty but what it actually is happens to be something far more sinister.
This rule is a direct attach on women and the LGBTQ+ community, allowing doctors at their discretion to withhold care from individuals that they deem unworthy of said care due to their religion. It’s an attack on transgender people looking for treatment of gender and body dysphoria as well as being an attack on women seeking the right to choose. This is bad for our country and a huge jump towards religious theocracy.
